The upcoming week is bustling with fun and diverse events to look forward to!
The week kicks off (September 18 – 25) with the 3rd ARTE Film Week, featuring 8 films that have been screened in film festivals internationally.. most films are dubbed french with english subtitles.. there’s a different movie every night screening at 8 p.m at Metropolis Empire Sofil, Ashrafiyeh [facebook event]
Then there’s the long awaited: Social Media Week Beirut! 5 days of social media talks covering a wide range of domains;from Banking & Finance to People, NGOs & Society, each days’ panels take place at a different venue (except Thursday, which features two domains and venues in one day). Social Media Week is an international event and will taking place 12 cities internationally during the next week, best of all, it’s free entrance!

Sept 22, Social Media, A reason for change? ft. our favorite Gustav!
Sept 23, People, NGOs & Society, at AltCity, Hamra << also the whole day! especially “Cheyef 7alak?” The Viral Effect Inititative in Lebanon, at 3 p.m & Initiatives and Social Media at 5:30 p.m
And finally (but it’s something i’d have to miss since i’d be at TEDxBeirut at the time) the National Campaign for sustainable transportation is arranging a protest march on foot starting from Beil, bring your bikes, skateboards and shoes!
