For the laughs and the tears
Thank you Nadine for the laughs and the tears. It is not fair to write a review about the movie at this point, maybe after it’s been in the theatre for a while and enough people have seen it… and i always had my doubts about Lebanese actors, wow! those are some good actors! wow! chapeau bas!
The perfect combination of artistic direction and innovation, heart wrenching drama and witty lines! … a master piece.. it has left a theatre of people full of their laughter and their tears… from the artistically shocking beginning to the more shocking end!
IMDB’s plot: “A group of Lebanese women try to ease religious tensions between Christians and Muslims in their village”
The movie got the lot of us watching the movie, how can we implement it to make a change in our real Lebanon, our scattered identity and crumbling religions, where do we go now? how? and what does it take? A lot more than what we are doing now that’s for sure! It is a movie to sleep on, soak in and accept as a fact and a conscious decision to go somewhere…
The movie is playing in all Empire theaters in Lebanon, call head, the theaters are packed!
P.S. If you find the DVD and soundtrack on sale somewhere let me know!
And it would watch it again, a few more times, in the theatre..
